Late at night on the 30th, there comes a strange post on the Omega Network. The post is made with the account of a super known as Gorgon. What's strange about that is the fact that this particular super has been missing in action for well over a year. So. What's the deal?

If you look closely, the video playing is very jaunty, but it catches the glimpse of a very frustrated looking Tomoki, who has been missing for a few days, himself. He appears to be tied to a ...recliner. The video finally focuses on Doctor Maki and his sinister doll.

Hello! So I am posting on behalf of a potential apper into this game and we need the assistance of a nefarious schemer.

If you're familiar with Kamen Rider OOO then the character in question is Ankh and I shouldn't have to explain much of why we need some shenanigans.

If you are not and you're interested in having a 800 year old fire throwing, bird-themed homunculus at your fingertips (for likely a short period of time, he's a turncoat but he's plenty destructive on his own) then details will be below the cut!

Cut for massive Kamen Rider OOO spoilers. )

So yeah. Any takers? Questions or comments?

Characters you have in the game: None

Character Name: Tomoki Chino (western order)

Character Canon: PIECE ~Kioku no Kakera~

Canon Background:

Tomoki's early life or family situation is never given in the movie. Assuming they didn't seem very concerned about his downward spiral into alcoholism they're either not around or he's just not close to them.

What we do know is that Tomoki is a journalist who worked for a influential paper. When he had his eyes on a story, nothing could stop him. Unfortunately with the sudden and bizarre death of his fiance, Tomoki fell and fell hard. He started drinking away his life and lost any spark he had for his work and did only enough to cover his drinking expenses. It's a miracle he didn't get fired, though it probably had everything to do with his Editor still holding out for Tomoki to recover. Sadly it would take a lot to bring him back. His story was insane and his memory was gone. All he could remember was holding Haruka in his arms while she slowly turned to stone. Her final words were whispered in his ear and a small metallic something appeared in his hand.

He spends three years like that, and it wouldn't be until a sudden string of murders popping up with causes of death identical to Haruka's that Tomoki would snap out of his grief stricken stupor and dive headfirst into uncovering the truth.

He meets Rei- a photographer with five personalities- who has been seen at each crime scene. The two begin to work together to uncover the truth behind Piece- that strange metallic substance Tomoki recalled at her death, and what sinister dealings were really going on in Haruka's life.

I did a full play by play of the movie here if you want the full deal. It's extremely convoluted so summarizing it concisely is almost impossible.

Omegafriends Background:

The biggest difference between this version and his canon is that he has familial ties with a character that isn't from his actual canon. (However that they share the same actor was too good for us to pass up.) This of course is done with Eiji-mun's permission, but he is a ~long lost twin~ of Eiji Hino.

Not that he knows that yet. He grew up shuffled around in the American foster care system. The Hinos were very thorough in making sure he wouldn't find their way back to him.

He has the same passion for Journalism and works for a paper in Venture city. Instead of his girlfriend horribly dying in his arms, she goes missing during a super villain attack. He spends three years distraught over her disappearance and spirals into drinking like he did in canon. Only rather than a new string of murders- he uncovers that she was actually a Super.

Realizing that there was far more to that night than he thought he springs back to his old self and has been working hard to find leads, riding on the hope that she was still alive and out there somewhere.

Now, Tomoki works as a journalist who favors Supers and does what he can to hunt down information to help them.

Personality:

Tomoki will tell you straight up that he's a journalist. He is very proud of this fact. Anyone who talks to him for more than five minutes would glean this from him without him even having to say this much. He is tenacious, determined, stubborn, and intelligent and when it comes to searching for the truth, nothing will stand in his way until he's got his hands wrapped around it.

However, don't let that scare you (much). Tomoki is a reporter, but he's not one of Those reporters. He cares about his story and he cares about making the paper, but he is far from crooked or dirty in his work. The truth is far more important to him than anything- so you won't find him lying or cheating his way to a good story. On top of that, Tomoki is quick to jump into danger if he sees someone who needs help. He was willing to face down a killer if it meant possibly saving her victim, even if it looked like he was already too far gone. He strives to do what's right, and doesn't like sacrificing his morals for anyone else's sake.

That said, Tomoki is definitely not a saint. He does tip into manipulative territory if he's determined enough to get something done. This includes blackmailing one of his informants into giving him the info he wanted and Guilt tripping Arisa into helping him stake out one of the killers. That said, if the situation weren't dire, he likely wouldn't have resorted to such means.

He's also got a temper. When it comes to bringing up Haruka he can get hostile and aggressive. If you want to see him lose his cool, say something negative about her and you'll have to psychically fight him off. He's also a recovering alcoholic who fell into a deep inconsolable depression after he thought he lost her. When something hits him like that, it hits him hard and its hard for him to shake it off. Really the only reason he was able to bounce back as well as he did, was because he was given hope that she was still alive.

Anything to call that fact into question would likely do him in a second time.

As of the start of the game, Tomoki will have been recovered for a few months. He's lost a lot in the past year where he drank away all his money, but he's determined to build himself back up. His Editor will tell you that he looks almost like he did before it all went to heck. Truly, Tomoki is a man on the mission that won't stop until he finally has the truth about what happened to him and Haruka a year ago.
